Another shot from Hatfield House, of this absolutely beautiful tree trunk. I have no idea what species of tree this is, but when I first saw it I was convinced it was fake, and that the trunk really was made from copper tubing. It's the most gorgeous colour, slightly metallic which is what mislead me in the first place.
